How to Use the Shopping Cart

Shopping on the Sinclair Cottage website is very easy and works like most other on-line shopping sites using the PayPal shopping Cart. All of our products are grouped into categories. These category pages can be accessed from either the menu at the top and right-hand side of every page or from the menu at the bottom of each page. Clicking on a category will take you to that product page.

The basic steps to shopping in our Tea Shop are:

Add Items to Your Shopping Cart

When you find a product that you are looking for, click the Add to Cart button to add it to your PayPal Shopping Cart. You will be taken to a new screen to confirm that the item has been added to your cart. You will also be shown the contents of your cart on this screen. Items will sit in your cart until you either Checkout OR delete the items.

View your Shopping Cart to check your order

At any time while you're shopping, click the View Cart link located at the top of the page. This will take you to your shopping cart where you can view and modify your order if need be. Items remain in your shopping cart indefinitely

On the Shopping Cart page you can:

Edit Your Cart Items

If you decide NOT to purchase something simply click in the Remove box next to the product(s) that you don't want or adjust the Quantity. Click the Update Qty button to update your order.

Continue Shopping

If you realize that you need more items or want to continue browsing the store, click the Continue Shopping link and you will be taken back to the previous page where you were in the store.

Proceed to Check Out

When you have checked everything that is in your cart and you're ready to complete your order, click the Proceed to Check Out button and you will be taken to the Check Out page where you will enter all of the information required to make the purchase. You can click the Check Out button from the View Cart page.

Proceed to the Checkout

Shipping Info:Enter in the address where you want your order shipped. If you need to ship your order to someone else or some other place other than your indicated Billing Address, you can type in a different shipping address on the Checkout page. If your purchase is a gift for someone else, there is also an area for you to type in a message to whomever you are sending the gift.

Billing Info:Enter in your billing address; if paying by credit card this must be the address where your credit card bill is sent.

Payment Info: Enter in the method of payment you choose - Visa or MasterCard credit cards, cheque or money order. If you are paying by VISA or MasterCard, you do not need a PayPal account, click on "Continue" located by the Credit card logos.. Be sure to include your phone number in order for us to contact you. We will do so between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Order Info: From the Order Information page you can still choose to Edit your Payment Information, your Address Information or even Edit your Shopping Cart by clicking on the appropriate button. If everything looks all right and you want to order, click the Review Order and Contiunue button.

Once you submit your order to us, you will be taken to another screen to thank you and confirm your order. We will call you to confirm your order. Please be sure to include your phone number in order for us to contact you. We will do so between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.

We Ship Worldwide

Most orders are shipped within 2 days. Shipping rates are specified for Canada Post Expedited Parcel Service.

Orders under $18.00 — add $5 handling charge.

All charges are in Canadian funds.

Methods of Payment

Payment can be made by MasterCard or Visa using PayPal.

How to Order:

Order online using our secure shopping cart system. When you submit your order using our shopping cart system, we will contact you by phone to confirm your order and get your payment details.

Order by Phone - Toll Free - 1-888-757-8778. We are available to take your order between the hours of 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. pacific time. If our lines are busy, simply leave your name and phone number on our answering system and we will return your call as soon as possible.

Order by postal mail by printing your order from the shopping cart checkout and mailing it to the address below.

Notification: When an order has been shipped you will receive an email notification of the shipping date.

Sales Tax

B.C. residents will have Provincial Sales Tax added to their orders for accessory items — there is no PST on tea.

HST - 13% applies to the following provinces: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.

All orders (except HST provinces) are subject to 5% GST

Check Your Shipment

As soon as you receive your shipment, check it to make sure it is complete and nothing has been damaged. See our Return Policy if something needs to be returned. Below is information on what to do if your order was incorrect.

You shipped me the wrong thing! or It's damaged!

If you were shipped the wrong item or an item arrived damaged, please Contact us to get instructions on how to ship the item back to us (at our expense) and expedite the shipping of the correct item.

Return Policy

We hope you will be satisfied with everything you buy from the Sinclair Cottage Quality Teas. If our products do not satisfy you,  return them to us within 30 days for a full product refund. Please include the invoice that accompanied your order so we can identify you. Indicate whether you prefer a credit or a refund cheque for the amount of the product you are returning. Returned accessory and gift basket items must be in the original condition and packaging.

Except for damaged or defective items or items shipped in error, all shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. Credits will be made either as a credit against the same VISA or MasterCard account used for the original order or by cheque, depending upon what payment method was used.
