Egyptian Camomile
There are several varieties and countries of origin of Chamomila - sometimes referred to as bachelor buttons because of the shape of the flower heads - but the best quality comes from Egypt. The sandy loam and nutrients from the Nile create perfect growing conditions. Camomile flowers have a yellow centre and white petals - they almost look like a daisy. Essential oils in the plant parts produce a soothing pleasant aroma and a fruity character. In some parts of Europe, particularly southern France, Camomile plants have been strewn on floors or pathways to give the area a good scent.

Camomile can be made into a pleasant aromatic tea with a slightly bitter but fruity flavor, which is sipped for relief of health problems ranging from toothache to nervousness. Camomile has been noted as beneficial for soothing headaches and is a natural relaxing herb known to assist the restless and those suffering from insomnia. In many circles, Camomile is called nighty night tea and sleepy tea because of it's natural properties which promote restfulness and drowsiness. Rooibos The story of Rooibos starts around the turn of the century in South Africa's beautiful Cedarberg region. It was the locals of the area who first discovered that the fine needle like leaves of the wild "Aspalathus Linearis" plant made a tasty aromatic herbal infusion. It was they who first harvested the plants, chopped them with axes and bruised them with hammers leaving them to ferment before drying in the sun. Rooibos is an herb which contains no caffeine.

Those who consume Rooibos have claimed that it has a soothing effect on headaches, disturbed sleeping patterns and digestive problems.
